Railway Bridge Trail
A gentle walk on a good path along the disused railway line to a spectacular viewing point on the old railway bridge.

This easy walk starts at Library Place and follows the old railway line as far as the Metal Bridge. This is an excellent spot for viewing the River Laune and provides an opportunity to photograph the mountainous scenery both up and down river. It also gives a good view of the County Bridge.
With the help of our heritage trail leaflet, anyone interested in railway history and the old railway line that ran between Farranfore and Valentia Harbour will get a feel for what Killorglin was like when the train ran through it.
This linear walk takes about 30 minutes there and back, though one can also return via the town centre.
