KTT celebrated national volunteer week with a bit of volunteering followed by a cup of tea!
On Tuesday 14 May a large group of KTT members met in the Fair Field...and two new volunteers came out to help us!
We split up into two groups - one group went to the Tralee Road to edge paths and trim hedges, while the other group cleaned up Iveragh Road.
In spite of the poor weather, weeds have been springing up all around town. Our volunteers removed weeds from the pavement on Iveragh Road and pushed back the hedges which had started to grow on top of the footpath in places - it was heavy work!
After finishing up the whole group retired to O'Grady's pub for a well-earned cup of tea. Volunteers are worth their weight in gold.
