Tidy Killorglin

The Killorglin Tidy Towns committee is looking for volunteers to help keep Killorglin tidy. We always have regular activities planned and would encourage a large town participation.

Volunteering with Killorglin Tidy Towns gives you the opportunity to get out and about and feel involved in the community, to make new friends and to have a say in how Killorglin should look.

Getting involved in Tidy Towns involves much more than picking up litter and weeding (although these are very important!). It can mean putting on community events such as Flavour of Killorglin (see the stands put together by local artist Mikey Ahern, to the right), landscaping, or engaging with schools and businesses about minimising waste. Whatever your interest, there's a need for your time and expertise!
To express your interest in joining, simply contact us using the details in the Contact Us page.

FixMyArea - Reporting a Problem is another way you can help

Picture
FixMyArea is a site that lets you report local problems in your area quickly and easily, directly to the council.  The site lets you track your reports and also lets other users support the issues which they think are the most urgent.  FixMyArea is designed for reporting things which are broken, dirty or dumped and need to be fixed, cleaned or removed.  For example: abandoned vehicles, graffiti, illegal posting, serious litter, dirty streets (broken glass in a cycle lane, for example), faulty streetlights or potholes.  Look at their website www.fixmyarea.com to see how it works or you can download the free app for iPhone or Android.  And they are on facebook too.  Check out http://www.facebook.com/FixMyArea.  If you'd rather KTT reported a genuine problem on your behalf then please Contact us and give as much information as possible, plus a photograph.
